<p>So the Kaiju Cat system still works the same way (thankfully), but what's going on with Saber Athena? Saber's a Mark VII, yet she was launched before Gipsy Avenger, which is a Mark VI. The Pacific Rim Wiki says that the Mark system is based on launch schedule, and this appears to be consistent with when all Jaegers are launched. There's less than a month's difference between the launch dates of these two, Saber being in Dec 2033 and Gipsy in Jan 2034, but this would either make Gipsy a Mark VII or Saber a Mark VI, so what's going on? We know for sure that Gipsy is a Mark VI, and Saber is a Mark VII, but this goes against the whole "Mark" categorisation.  </p>
