Mutavore exited the Breach on January 1, 2025, with an estimated mass of 2,630 tons. Visual surveillance suggested many blade-like appendages, which was confirmed when Mutavore made landfall in Sydney. Echo Saber, Vulcan Specter, and Striker Eureka responded, with pilots Aki Seto, Tidaka Maeda, Joshua Griffin, Tyler Zachery, Herc Hansen, and Chuck Hansen respectively.

Mutavore displayed extreme aggression, Displaying extreme aggression to infrastructure. Wanting to end the battle quickly, Echo Saber and Vulcan Spector tried to overpower the Kaiju. However, Mutavore proved to be tougher than thought and dispatched of the jaegers quickly. Striker Eureka responded and quickly dispatched of Mutavore.

Mutavore appeared to not take shape from any known earth animal, however its body did have a similar appearance to category II Kaiju “Hardship”. The crest shaped head seemed to be used as a blunt weapon, proving useful when the Kaiju broke the Anti-Kaiju Wall. Post mortem analysis indicated that Mutavore’s head crests were mostly made of bone only allowing space for its brain and mouth.

Kaiju Blue and other associated postmortem toxicity from Mutavore was minimal. Most organs were harvested from the kaiju and were donated to K-science researchers in Hong-Kong. Mutavore’s secondary brain was notably used in Dr. Newton Geizler’s first drift with a Kaiju brain. Other pieces were used by Dr. Newton Geizler to prove his hypothesis that Kaiju’s were clones.

Notes:

Mutavore’s attack showed the ineffectiveness of the Anti-Kaiju wall. Politicians however continued to support the construction of the Anti-Kaiju wall, leading to mass riots all around the Pacific rim.

I would like to say that yes, most of this is Fanon, yesI did use Aki Seto from the draft script of Pacific Rim, yes Tikda Maeda is made up I just want to a name generator, and yes I did put Vulcan Spector and echo saber in the battle.

Since its head was next to Mei, who is 1.6m tall, i used that scene to compare entired its body. Then i used grid to count how many meters is its height and length. Kaiju eel is atleast 6m tall (rearing and count to its crest) and more than 15m long,

This is a comprehensive list I compiled of the strength of most of the canon Kaiju in the Pacific Rim universe. This is based on evidence from the movies, shows, novelizations, comics, etc. Drones are excluded, and the list goes strongest to weakest.

1. Mega-Kaiju- Official specs aside, he is taller than Slattern, has three secondary brains, has heavier armor than any Kaiju before him, and has abilities of multiple Kaiju- Raijin's power absorbtion and Shrikethorn's spine throwing. Was literally made to destroy Jaegers instantly.

2. Slattern- Insanely overpowered. Survived thermonuclear blast at point-blank range. Even more powerful in the novelization- crippled Striker Eureka's cannons and disabled it's arms.

3. Otachi- Spit acid, sentient tail, very intelligent, and could fly. She was terrifying.

4. Raijin- Faceplates provide serious protection. Ability to absorb enemy attacks to supercharge your own is a major asset in combat. Also, no soft underbelly eliminates most common weakness of Kaiju.

5. Copperhead- Literally nicknamed "Jaeger Breaker". What more do you need? Took one of Hunter Vertigo's tactical nukes to kill him.

6. Shrikethorn- Not overly fast, but strong. Ability to hurl spines from his tails makes him feel like the Kaiju equivalent to Bracer Phoenix: built for fire support and great at tearing enemies apart with long-range weapons.

7. Leatherback- Not very smart, but strong and fast. Incredible brute strength useful for sudden ambushes.

8. Acidquill- Rather strong for a Category 3. Brought down Striker Berserker and Marauder Zeus, gave Hunter Vertigo and Atlas Destroyer a fight (granted, Hunter was unprepared and Atlas was down an arm). Seems to be a versatile species of Kaiju.

9. Knifehead- Was the first Kaiju to attack the head of a Jaeger and to display intelligence and cunning.

10. Onibaba- Fought Coyote Tango for three hours as a Cat-2. Impressive.

11. Scunner- Impressive ability to coordinate attacks with Raiju, but doesn't seem outstanding in any way.

12. Raiju- Fast and agile, but over-aggression got him killed.

13. Hakuja-His burrowing ability didn't do much good. Saber Athena's swords cut through his armor like knives through butter, and he couldn't handle one hit from Guardian Bravo's Arc Whip.

14. Mutavore- Brought down Echo Saber and Vulcan Specter, but got DESTROYED by Striker Eureka (could have been tired out, but still).

15. Insurrector- Anyone ever read the Pacific Rim: Amara prequel comic? Great comic, but OH MY GOD is this Kaiju under-powered. Striker Eureka had plot armor, sure, but Insurrector gets his ass kicked. In no panel does the fight even look close.

I'm sure I missed some Kaiju along the way. If anyone wants to give feedback or argue why a Kaiju should by higher/lower on the list, feel free to say! Just please be respectful.

According to Terra Virtua, the kaiju used spike from its palm to attack Hunter Vertigo and most likely the same breed kaiju was killed by Apex got their official name, Bonespur!!

I have no idea how is its entired body look like. Comparing to the prologue, it wasn't much difference.

When their behavior was classified as "non-aggressive" and according to Dr. Newton, they would die as soon as their hosts (kaiju) die without sinking them in ammonia, Chau's man could handle them relative ease, But in Pacific rim: Aftermath issue #3, when the containment failure, a lot of parasites were swarming the room and killing a Chau's worker intentionally, showing their "aggressive" behavior. Moreover, they completely survived outside ammonia. So what's really happening to these parasites? Were they reconstructed in Chau Industries?

In the end of November Ajax vs Scrapper chasing scene, we could see a kaiju skeleton when Amara emerged from Scrapper. The skeleton is much like Insurrector, It had two horns nearest to the rear of its head and multiple spiked protrusions.

According to the novel, his full speed when he gonna slam into Gipsy Danger the 2nd time is at close to 60 mph or over 95.6 km/h.

Since the final battle took place in Mega Tokyo, we saw a kaiju's skull in museum when Hakuja prepared to destroy the Saber Athena's Conn-Pod. The kaiju skull was much like Shrikethorn's whose was outside there. I think ther was a Shrikethorn had atttacked humanity in kaiju war then

Trespasser is the first kaiju, right? Travis Beacham said that "Axehead" was trespasser's nickname for the shape of it's head. Yet in "Pacific Rim: The Mobile Game" the kaiju's name is Axehead, What in the world is the kaiju's real name?

IIRC someone said that Del Toro stated that weights in PR verse are several times bigger that IRL.I mean 1 ton is Pacific Rim=several tons in our world
