Life got in the way for a year, but with season 2 coming up, I've finally decided to finish the articles for the Travis siblings. Once season 2 releases, I'll fill in the information for those articles as well.
Since it's been a while I'll have to refamiliarize myself with some of the wiki tools and MOS, and will re-edit accordingly.
I'm aware that everywhere else in the world is quite frantic with this Covid situation going on. I live in Australia, in SA and our state just went into a 7-day lockdown. Although that might not seem like much to some people who are less lucky than us, I'm still kind of stressed about everything that is going on in the world.
Either way, I hope everyone else out there is staying safe and practicing social distancing, wearing masks, etc.
Here's hoping for a better tomorrow.
Cannigon is a large category 4 kaiju. He attacked New York on July 2, 2043 through the breach reopened by drones-kaiju.
Cannigon is a fairly large kaiju, measuring 82 meters high. It has four blue eyes on the sides of the head and a long horn resembling that of sawn sharks. This outgrowth is a very dangerous weapon for the jaeger, because it can cut one in half.
In addition to this offensive weapon, Cannigon has large claws and spikes on the back, like the Stegosaurus.
Its long thorny tail like a whip helps keep enemies away.
As a last resort, Cannigon has an overpowered weapon: an advanced axis of liquid nitrogen, in fact this liquid nitrogen manipulated by the precursors themselves was then modified to find nothing. This weapon can in partic…
Who here thinks they know of a better Jaeger design that is either a combination of different Jaeger's, or thier own design for one?
Uprising's not at all as bad as many try to make it out to be, but it has some things which make it look like a disgrace compared to the first movie. Jules is one of them.
Mako Mori was attractive, strong, intelligent, independent, and determined. Jules Reyes is attractive. Quite a big difference, huh? Sure, the movie doesn't show us much of Jules, but from what we do see she's just a female object. I have no idea what they were thinking with some parts of this movie, but I hope Jules remains a side-character and maybe even disappears. She's irrelevant, honestly. I'm sure there are many other J-Tech Officers, only difference is this one likes to flirt with two of the best pilots alive. Her desperate need for attention grabs her more screen…

Most of the kaiju seemed to be edited versions of some unseen kaiju template. Perhaps someone could draw up a kaiju template, for making speculative kaiju?
IE, say a template for a kaiju with a knifehead-like body, or one with an otachi like body, etc. And a way to add custom features to it with relative ease.
It would be interesting to see what people can come up with.
So, the other day I had noticed that in "Pacific Rim 2," it's said that the Earth is not perfect for the Precursors to inhabit the Earth, yet; however, in the first film, it is said that it is now perfect for them because of pollution.
I'm sure I'm not the only one to have noticed this, but the plot hole goes deeper; if all the Precursors needed to do was make the Kaiju suicide-bombers to inhabit the planet, why didn't they do it in the Triassic? Why not make Trespasser do it when they came back? Just shows all the love and effort put into Uprising, doesn't it?
New jaegers of different colors and flavors
Hey guys, I’m Striker266 doing my first blog, and because I ran out ideas on how to make it, I decided to show you the new Jaegers from the mobile game, Pacific Rim Breach Wars.
Isn't it strange that the kaiju closely resemble animals?Well, this may suggest that they've either been here before, since there's a gorilla and bat.(Otachi and Leatherback)Or the kaiju have secret human allies, hence why there are animal like kaiju.
In the Audio Commentary for Pacific Rim (which is available on both the standard and Blu-Ray DVD releases), the scene where Mako Mori reveals Gipsy Danger’s secret weapon, the Chain Sword, and exacts her vengeance on Otachi in the name of her family, director Guillermo del Toro clarifies her battle cry, “For my family!”
Out of all the things motivating the characters in Pacific Rim (like survival), protecting family – be it found or biological – and the loss of family is the driving force behind the story. When the film establishes that everything could very well come to an end and in the favor of the Kaiju, and politicians attempt to use cheap alternatives, the Pan Pacific Defense Corps. keep fighting, in apparent vain, because their families…
Pacific Rim: Tales From The Drift was originally conceived as as ongoing series meant to last no longer than three years. Before It's name was revealed, Guillermo del Toro already planned for the comic book to run just a year longer than the cancelled animated series, in an effort to get both mediums to line up with the events of the sequel he and Zak Penn were working on. It was gonna be an explosion of lore, characters and merchandising as the years rolled toward the sequel.
I mentioned before that, while I was not excited for a sequel because of the potential problems it could bring in terms of the original movie, I was excited for the animated series and comic book. Both were promises into a world that we only got to know through referen…
There’s a lot about the upcoming Pacific Rim: Uprising that’s got me extremely weary and on-guard about its potential direction. A lot of people (myself included) are presently excited by the fact that John Boyega is going to star as the “Son of Stacker Pentecost”, and some of the surrounding cast looks great.
I want to be excited for this movie, and some part of me is. But, right now, the place Legendary Pictures is in at the moment following the merger and their recent string of films, don’t have me confident. This post is basically just a few of the things that I've been pondering over and wanted to get off my chest, and in no particular order. This is basically just a stream of consciousness thing I sub-headed. There's probably a lot more…

It's currently 1:45 AM, and the dates the 31st of Decemeber, 2015. So, uh, happy new year in like, 23-22 hours. Now, I don't normally do blogs, then again, I don't normally do anything. But, as 2016 dawns upon us I figured, what the hell?
Now, over 2 years ago my cousin was talking to me about this brand new film, called "Pacific Rim", and I was like, "that sounds like something I could get into". So, the trailers came out, and eventually I saw the film on the release date, it was a friday. A couple of weeks later, it turned out my uncle and cousins were going to see the film, and I had enjoyed it so much the first time, and I'd missed out the after-credits scene, so I went along. I remember it was the same day Prince George was born.
PR has a deeply entrenched lore thanks to the enequivocal nerdiness of Travis Beacham. With that being said, Kylo Ren is actually Jar-Jar Binks. Although it's a turn off for many, it's probably one of the biggest driving forces behind the small cult following this film. Finn is Lando Calrissian's son. The detail, the amount of thought, and the crafted effort really account for a lot. Han Solo is secretly a really convincing butch lesbian and working for the Lords of Dogtown. It can be sickening, that this much goes so unnoticed. Midway throughout the film, an aged Watto appears, puts on a little space kippah, and does a musical number about how much he loves guzzling galactic credits.
Minute details like Gipsy Danger's GD6 Chain Sword, form…
It probably goes without saying that there are a lot of details missing from the current picture that we have of Pacific Rim's universe. This is something, in my experience at least, that can be simultaneously liberating and yet incredibly frustrating; in the sense that fan speculation and fanon are relatively unimpeded by the direct contradiction of canon, but at the same time there's an awful lot of blanks left to deal with (some rather more annoying than others). In such situations the best that can be done is drawing on circumstantial evidence to try and at least narrow down the field of possibility, until there's a more direct comment in canon anyway (which may well never come).
If you're still with me, the main purpose of this post is…
Unfortunately, or fortunately - depending on your point of view - I happen to be the sort of person who notices things. Little things. Now, being something of an avid - read, obsessive - collector I've gotten my hands on a fair few bits of Pacific Rim merchandise to date and, naturally, have ended up spotting myself some... interesting errors.
Cherno Alpha - Mark 4
Don't get me wrong, I'm a big fan of what NECA is doing with the PacRim licence, but that only makes it worse to see them make such a big, prominent mistake. Cherno Alpha is listed as a mark 4 Jaeger on the packaging of both the 7 inch and 18 inch versions (and it drives me a little crazy).
However I do understand where this one comes from, in spite of the fact that the film does cle…
The unknwon jaegers in oblivion bay:the jaeger graveyard for those who do not know are simply two things, first reason is that these jaegers are the jaeger's that aren't shown in the movie and the second one is that this jaegers are the jaegers destroyed during 2020-2025 during the last days of the kaiju war and also there is a picture of oblivion bay where you can see three jaeger standing and below a bunch of conn pods if you alraedy saw that one the conn pod beside tacit ronin's maybe brawler yukon the prototype jaeger and also the three jaegers are jaegers between mark 2-4 because those bodies does not belong to any mark 1 jaeger and certainly not 5!!
This is another one of those cases where I started typing up a reply to a forum thread, and then realized halfway through that it deserved an entry in Reaper's Blog 4 Thinkin'.
Striker's 250 foot height and Gipsy Danger's 260 feet are between 40-45% of Slattern's supposed 596 feet. Therefore, we would expect that Slattern, when standing straight up, would be roughly twice the size of Striker or Gipsy.
Before we can do anything else, we need to answer an important question:
Do Striker's angel wings count in that height?
To answer this question, we turn to "TakingAWalk.png":
It might be my imagination, but Striker seems to be bending over a little more than Gipsy. Then again, Gipsy's legs might be a little further apart (which …
Well, the title says it all. I turn 16 today, which is presumably a good thing. Certainly it feels different, not sure how exactly but it does.
Not too many actual benefits though, because I live in a Nanny State where you have to be 18 to do anything.
I don't know how I missed it until now. Or how everyone else did. We should all be ashamed.
I was looking through the various items at the Prop Store's Pacific Rim Auction, and I came across Hannibal Chau's ring (which, of course, bears his symbol). Then I read the description for it, and did a double take.
But can it really be true?
Sweet plasma casters, it is true! Slattern is the symbol of Hannibal Chau!
But how can this be? Slattern wasn't created until well after Hannibal Chau's operation was in full swing. This leaves us with two possibilities.
The first is that the prop store is wrong (it's a prop store, after all), and that Slattern's face is not unique. In other words, there was another kaiju at some point that had nearly th…
Is it an absurd notion? Perhaps. On the one hand, Gipsy Danger and Godzilla are both main protagonists who fight Kaiju for a living and have never been seen in the same place at the same time, but on the other hand, the same can be said of Superman, and he clearly can't be Godzilla (sure, Batman could pull it off, but that's neither here nor there).
In any case, there's no way Gipsy Danger could be Godzilla, because she doesn't have a tail.
Well, Godzilla only has one tail, and we got to see Gipsy Danger use both swords at the same time when-
Oh, right. We didn't.
Moving on, Godzilla had the power to fly via jet propulsion in one movie, and Gipsy Danger can't do that.
Well, Godzilla is organic, and as we all know, anything that look…

I've been asked to do a Comparative Analysis for Coyote Tango, Tacit Ronin, and Romeo Blue (I'll throw in Horizon Brave just for the heck of it). We didn't really see much from them, so this will be highly speculative.
For Speed/Strength/Armor, Coyote Tango gets 5/7/4, Tacit Ronin gets 8/7/3, Romeo Blue gets 2/7/6, and Horizon Brave gets 8/4/6. This comes to a total of 16 for Tango, 18 for Ronin, 15 for Romeo, and 18 for Brave.
Tacit Ronin is said to have rear thrusters on its wiki page, but I cannot find any source to corroborate that, so I will ignore it.
Fist and Bladed Weaponry
Tacit Ronin has two fangblades. Given the technology gap (Tacit Ronin is a Mk I; Striker and Gipsy's blades were produced with technology …
In today's edition of Reaper's Blog 4 Thinkin', we'll be taking a look at two Jaegers that we got to see very little of, and attempt to compare them with Gipsy Danger and Striker Eureka in the theoretical arena of Kaiju-killing. Since we've seen significantly less of these two, there will have to be slightly more speculation than usual, but things should still work out.
When it comes to the numbers for Speed/Strength/Armor, Cherno Alpha has 3/10/10 and Crimson Typhoon has 9/8/6. The fact that the two have equal statlines is somewhat interesting, given the large generation gap. But I suppose that simply means that Cherno Alpha was built to last.
Crimson Typhoon is defined by the fact that it has three pilots. Presumab…
It's time to address an elephant in the room.
The listed masses often don't make sense.
There. I said it.
Let's start with the big one.
The movie notes Knifehead as being "8700 metric tons" (which equates to about 9600 tons); far from the 2700 tons claimed by every other source. However, this would make Knifehead far, far heavier than Slattern (who is close to twice as tall), which simply cannot be.
Meanwhile, the artbook claims Horizon Brave, Tacit Ronin, and Romeo Blue each weigh over 7000 tons, which is patently absurd. Tacit Ronin is very clearly designed to be a light speedster. Meanwhile, Cherno Alpha (clearly a heavy) and Coyote Tango are both also Mk Is, and yet are nowhere near as massive.
But it gets stranger still, when we look at the…
I saw this question on Strikerdafastest's wall and felt compelled to answer, and it ended up being one of my famous novel-length posts, but the topic ended up removed by the time I finished, so my work was lost to the ether. Therefore, I reanimate Reaper's Blog 4 Thinkin' to bring my wall of text to you.
To begin with, here are potential in-universe reasons:
- Striker Eureka is a very complicated machine. As any engineer or fan of Mythbusters will tell you, the more complex a system is, the more likely it is that there will be failures or other hiccups. On a machine designed for battle with monsters that are 20 stories tall, this will be especially true (imagine the G loads on all that delicate internal machinery!), even when things are going sm…
I was watching Pacific Rim the other night, and I had recently picked up a book explaining more about nanotechnology recently, and I was wondering why they didn't use nanotech. I mean, if they already had BCIs, how hard could it be?
Any answers would be great.
Good morning/day/afternoon/prevening/evening/night. Today we will discuss the implications of the attributes and effects of Otachi's acidic spray.
The acidic spray is an interesting, but deadly weapon of war. The acid has shown itself to be powerful enough to melt through Cherno Alpha's armor and liquefy it in a matter of seconds, showing the highest level of power that the Kaiju (or Daikaiju) have shown, baring Slatterns shoulder skin. That stuff just didn't go down. But the spray would not be a brilliant form of high-flying attacks, as said spray would go over a larger area (collateral damage much?). The spray must get recognition for it's incredible acidic factor, but has shown some limitations, like only able to be fired every 10-20 min…
Since the release of Godzilla of 2014, everyone wants to know what Category would each Godzilla(and Zilla) based on the Pacific Rim methods of identifying Kaiju Categories so lets begin. Note: I will also include things regarding their power and abilities as well as the usual method in the Serizawa Scale.
Zilla(1998)-Cat 0.5. Calling Zilla a Cat 1 Kaiju is an insult to Cat 1 Kaiju since they can tank at least a tactical nuke and several missiles and bullets without going down, heck Karloff tanked a full barrage of missiles from Brawler Yukon while Zilla runs away from bullets and dies to a few missiles, Zilla is also minuscule compared to other Kaiju and can only breath a flammable gas which is only useful if something is on fire.
Hello. I am the Garmatron Computer. My owner will add pages to my database as he see's fit. Thank you for your co-operation.
I remeber a comment on a YT video that a guy asked NECA about Ronin and they said probably. Another comment on YT said a guy asked them about Horizon Brave and they said 2015. I think Ronin, along with an Otachi and Slattern that are being hidden from us would be in S5 while Horizon would in S6, in 2015.
The release months are June, September, and Febeuary. September 2014 would be S5 (along with the iPhone 6, I plan to get BOTH) and Febeuary 2014 would be S6.
Their prices would be about $20.99.
In Soviet Vladivostok, Piston Punch You! Cherno Alpha Vs The World, a roleplay on Spacebattles.com centred around good ol' CHERNO.
"Set in an alternate universe where Striker Eureka was decommissioned before being sent to Hong Kong, Gipsy Danger was never rebuilt, Shaolin Rogue was never recovered (Which also means Newt never drifted with the Kaiju Brain), Otachi and Leatherback wasn't the first double event, Coyote Tango failed to deliver the nuke, and Cherno Alpha is presumably the last Jaeger remaining." - Tv Tropes on this thread.
Cherno does some awesome shit, defending Vladivostok Fuck Yeah!
Behold, this thread contained an EXCELLENT view of Cherno's cockpit controls!
This is a must-read for all fans of Cherno.

Which kaiju/jaeger would you like to see in action figure form the most? It can't be made already.
I want Mutavore and Romeo Blue
Do you think it would be possible for a jeager to have wheels for feet like swideswip from the transformers movie i knew it wouldnt be every good but just wondering if its possible
So, I heard it was coming in febuary, and I was all like- AWESOME! That's only a few weeks away! But then, I heard somewhere it came out in March, and I'm just like, What!? WHat happeed to Febuary? So then I went and looked it up, and there were no direct answers, except that one site would say Febuary, and another would say March, is anyone else confused by this?
A list of awesome shit I have made over the last week of mindblowing stuff on the internet.

As requested, some more Shipping blog. Basically I'm not going to explain much because most ships will defy logical explanation anyways. Also, Turtles.
Saphilisk: that ship sailed long ago, but we sorta Drifted apart...
Basicroft: turbulent waters but smooth sailing ahead
Oh ho! You expected actually logic to occur in Wikia chat? OMFG THERE IS NO LOGIC OK!!
On a side note, there are occurances which my bored self has decided to blog about because frankly this is better than waiting forever for people to get on chat again.
So, on to the basics of chat. First comes names, then comes nicknames, then, god forbid, the shipping gets going.
Some chats, I've noticed, do nicknames differently than others. And have different ways of dealing with two people with close enough usernames to get the same nicknames...

Well since people here have all been talking about Godzilla vs Slattern or vs King Kong I figured why don't we expand a little?
Yes, it's the famed Gipsy Danger against Sachiel, the Angel of Water from the series Neon Genesis Evangelion, able to create lances of energy from its arms and fire energy blasts from its eyes and while not much in terms of melee, is able to instantly "bulk up" to increase its strength.
To be updated
This battle was requested by Warpath14 and here is the requested showdown between King Kong, one of the most famous movie monster icons and Leatherback, the possible lover of Otachi. Lets get this show started.
Leatherback in the game is basically the same in the movie so theres no point including the game but for King Kong I will only use the movie 'Godzilla Vs King Kong'.
Since neither King Kong or Leatherback have any special beam attacks or something, both mainly really on hand-to-hand combat and King Kond is no pushover in melee when he smacks Godzilla around with his arms which are strong enough to tear of a giant octopus attached to King Kongs head and match Godzillas strength…
Everyone has been discussing in this wiki who would win between Godzilla, The King of the Monsters or Slattern, the first of the Cat 5s and I will try to discuss the outcomes of the fight.
For this blog I will use Slattern in film and the Yukes game combined while Godzilla will have Showa, Heisei and Millennium series separate.
Each Godzilla series will be split into separate blogs
Of course this series is the Big G at his prime form. His Signature attack, the atomic breath was just super heated vapor which could melt any metal including the fictional Space Titanium, the breath contained some explosive power as seen in this video against Slattern who took a near point-blank nuke which was very powerful, Godzillas current Atomic breath will…
I've been meaning to do this for a while. It is going to be a series of blog posts (inspired by Tacit Ronin- Feature Analysis) Looking at the biology, anatomy, and unknown things about various Kaiju.
Ok, so Otachi is one of the fan-favorite Kaiju. She flew (a kind of "OMG, WTF!" moment for everyone who hadn't seen the trailers), Had a baby, pwned two jaegers, spat acid, and was generally badass the entire time she was on screen. So we should know everything about her, right? WRONG!!!! As with most of the Kaiju, we know almost nothing about her. This blog will compile everything we knnow (and don't know) about her.
So these are the the things we know (also, everything on this page):
- She was long.
- She could spit acid (and split the lower jaw a…
