As far as how it works, the IB22 Plasmacaster is not dissimilar to the I-19 Plasmacaster used by Gipsy Danger. However, compared to the I-19 Plasmacaster, the IB22 Plasmacaster is three times more powerful and possesses a multi-layered CELL-TIP technology that enables Crimson Typhoon to specifically target the skeletal structure of a Kaiju in battle.[1]
The only downside to the IB22 Plasmacaster's increased firepower is the massive amount of energy required, with each shot slaved to a 6.8 second charge time.[2]
