Monica Schwartz[1] is the mother of Newton Geiszler. During the 1980s she was the lover of Jacob Geiszler.[1]
Biography[]
Monica Schwartz is an opera singer. She met Jacob Geiszler, a piano player, in Amsterdam during the 1980s and shortly thereafter began an affair with him while they were both married to other people.[1] Shortly thereafter, Jacob proposed to Monica, but she refused. Monica and Jacob presumably continued their relationship well into 1990s.[1]
On January 19, 1990 she gave birth to her son, Newton.[2] However, she chose to continue perusing her career as an opera singer and left Newton behind while touring. Newton is raised by his father and his brother, Illia Geiszler, a musical engineer.[1]

- According to Newton, only Monica refers to him by his professional title ("Doctor Geiszler").[1]
- According to Pacific Rim: Man, Machines & Monsters, Newton's mother's name is Sylvia Schwartz.[2] However, Travis Beacham states Monica is his mother's actual name.
