The Pan Pacific Defense Corps.-issued submersible operates not unlike the traditional submersible. A short-range vessel with short-term life-support, reliant on a nearby support facility, or additional vessel, like an aircraft carrier.[1]
The submersibles are small, powered by propellers or pump jets, and are captained by a small crew. Submersibles are armed with lifeboats for surface escapes, and their size makes them relatively more mobile than the traditional submarine.[1]
Pan Pacific Defense Corps. utilizes its submersibles for reconnaissance and rescue operations. While its K-Watch division typically monitor emerging Kaiju from a distance, submersibles can be used to watch Kaiju breaches in real-time, often at the risk at the crew.[1]
