Pacific Rim: Aftermath is a six-issue comic book miniseries published by Legendary Comics.[4][5] Aftermath explores the ten year gap between the original Pacific Rim and Pacific Rim: Uprising, establishing the characters Jake Pentecost, Hannibal Chau, and Joshua Griffin. The series is written by Cavan Scott, and features art by Rich Elson.[4][5] The miniseries ran from January 17, 2018[2] to August 8, 2018.

Pacific Rim: Aftermath was officially announced October 17, 2017 by Legendary Comics.[2] January 8, 2018, actor John Boyega stated on his official Instagram account that Aftermath had been rescheduled for March 21, 2018.[6][note 1] This was later corrected by author Cavan Scott and retail store, Midtown Comics.[7][8] July 2018, the hardback and paperback trade releases for Pacific Rim: Aftermath were announced for an October 17, 2018 release.[1]
