Pacific Rm: Tales From the Drift Issue #4 is the fourth of four issues in Pacific Rim: Tales From The Drift. The issue was released May 4, 2016 in retail stores[2] and May 11, 2016 on ComiXology.[3]

Plot Summary[]
Hand-in-hand, Duc and Kaori Jessop board Tacit Ronin and enter the Drift. As they connect through their memories, Stacker Pentecost tries one last time to dissuade from fighting on the reassurance that back up from the other Shatterdomes were on the way. Determined to protect Tokyo with their lives, the Jessop turn him down and enter Tokyo Bay.
They face Ragnarok, and attack first, cutting it down the back, arms and chest. Ragnarok attacks Tacit Ronin's upper body and the Conn-Pod sustains damage. The feedback from the fight through the Drift hinders the Jessop's ability to fight. While they are able to maim Ragnarok, the Kaiju gains a momentary upper hand and tackles them into the bay. Underwater, Duc loses consciousness.
During Kaori's efforts to wake him up, they lose connection with the pons system. The two continue to fight Ragnarok with Tacit disconnected from the Drift, much to the surprise of the Pan Pacific Defense Corps heads, Pentecost and Hikai. In their final moments, Duc and Kaori are able to best Ragnarok, splitting the Kaiju down the middle, before succumbing to their injuries.
At their funeral, Pentecost holds a eulogizes the late pilots, speaking of their bravery and sacrifice for the human race. As the funeral draws to a close, a tearful Mako Mori spots two red lotus plant in bloom on the coffins of Duc and Koari.

- According to its press release, the fourth issue of Tales From The Drift was originally scheduled for a February 2016 release.[2] The issue was delayed by four months and later released in early-to-mid May 2016.[2]
