The Port of Hong Kong (or Hong Kong Port) is a deepwater seaport dominated by trade in containerized manufactured products, and to a lesser extent raw materials and passengers.[2] It was the target of seven Kaiju attacks and the first recorded Double Event in 2025.[1]
History
Located by the South China Sea, the port is a key factor in the economic development of Hong Kong, the natural shelter and deep waters of Victoria Harbour provide ideal conditions for berthing and the handling of all types of vessels.[2]
Pre-2025
Presumably, between the years of 2019 and 2024, Hong Kong's port was a target of seven recorded Kaiju attacks. Crimson Typhoon, piloted by the Wei Tang Brothers Cheung, Jin and Hu, successfully defeated all seven Kaiju.[1]
Hong Kong Incident
Shortly after Otachi and Leatherback emerge from the Breach, Gipsy Danger engaged Leatherback in the Victora Harbour after the destruction Cherno Alpha and Crimson Typhoon.
When the Category IV Kaiju tackled the Mark-3 Jaeger, it threw Gipsy Danger across the harbour and into the port. There the Jaeger and the Kaiju fought, destroying the surrounding area in the process. Gipsy Danger eventually killed Leatherback using its plasma cannon.[1]
