Rachnid is a Kaiju of an undetermined Category that emerged from the Breach.
Biology[]
Rachnid is an ant-like six-armed Kaiju. Its arms have sharp claws. It emits a bioluminescent glow that is visible through the back of the abdomen and thorax. Rachnid's head has twenty-eight eyes in its huge nineteen-part jaw. The Kaiju appears to have a thin red tongue.[1]
History[]
When Rachnid emerges from the Breach, it attacks the city of an undetermined location. During the attack, a television production crew working on the series Undercover is caught in its path. Martina, an actress, was among the civilians trapped in the city Striker Eureka intercepts it. A reported four thousand civilians were killed during its attack.[1] The consequences of Racnid's attack pushed the television production company working on Undercover into bankruptcy, leaving the actress Martina without future prospects.

- According to combat dossier for Striker Eureka in the Pacific Rim novelization, Rachnid attacked the city of Brisbane, Australia.
