Paint it. That's one way. Titanium doesn't rust. For ferrous parts use a coating: From KeytoMetals .com: "Electroless: In this non-electric plating system, a coating metal, such as cobalt or nickel, is deposited on a substrate via a chemical reaction in the presence of a catalyst." That stops corrosion.
I liked Raiju very much. Pacific Rim fans are divided between liking Raiju or thinking he was the dumbest of them all.
Raiju indeed didn't last long but he did a hell of a good job at what he was supposed to do. He not only prevented Scunner from being killed, but also ripping GD arm clean off. He may not have lasted as long as Scunner...but he was much more effective.
I think this thread was around before I wrote that blog post, and only recently became active again, so I assumed I had already linked to it.
That is all.
That's what i don't get, people say Raiju 'the Kaiju' was stupid for getting himself, in a way, killed.
But that is not the case, the reason everybody REALLY talks about Raiju's death is not because it was stupid of him...but because it was memoreable. His face looked hilariously constipated (when he was roaring...to me at least) at times and he was probably the most effective Kaiju in the final battle (Probably just as even with Slattern I'd say...Scunner was useless as a <insert usless item here>).
We love Raiju because of his awesome death isn't it? Think about it, Scunner is not very popular becaus ehis death wasn's awesomely badass was it? Otachi's death on the other hand...was awesome, same with Raiju!
See where I'm going with this? I know these points have been mentioned countless time but I thought I'd just put it out there.
Yeah but Otachi was also all-round awesome. Raiju did have a pretty awesome death. Stupid people can have awesome deaths too!
Was it as awesome as Cherno Alpha's and Crimson Typhoon's death?
Their deaths were terrible! BECAUSE THEY DIED IN THEM!
Oh well...anyways, neither of those two Jaegers were stupid.
