We only see these three in Uprising, but each was strong in their own right. However, if you could pit them against each other, which one do you think would defeat the other two?

    • Kaiju are designed to destroy Jaegers, not each other, so the best comparison would be to pit them all against the same Jaeger, one at a time. For example, each one fighting its own Gipsy Danger. I'd have to say Raijin, half the reason being because it's a Cat V. It's naturally bigger, and I believe its stance gives it a huge advantage. It's largest surface area is its head, and we know what can happen if you hit that. I'd put Shrikethorn as a close second, I believe Raijin would be able to tear Shrikethorn apart before the latter can do any lethal damage. Hakuja last place. Same arguments apply to the three Kaiju fighting a Jaeger, one on one.

    • I’d say that Hakuja could rise up among the ranks as a good fighter because of its burrowing ability. If you can dig up your enemy’s space, they can fall in and be disabled for a brief period.

    • You'd have to be a poorly trained Ranger to step in a hole made by the Kaiju you're fighting. I think Raijin's the clear winner here.

    • Raijin's only good if he's hit on the faceplates. So long as he's not hit, he's vulnerable.

Are you serious, or just want something to post about? He's huge, and look at his claws and jaws.

I’m being serious; there are different ways to fight something that is going to turn your force back on you.

Did you even read my post? It's not just ignorant, but plain stupid to say "Raijin's only good if he's hit on the faceplates".

    • Okay, then how long do you think a battle between Raijin and Slattern could take? Faceplates and all?

As mentioned above "Kaiju are designed to destroy Jaegers, not each other, so the best comparison would be to pit them all against the same Jaeger, one at a time". If they were to fight each other, I thought about it and I really can't tell. I was thinking initially Slattern would win, but backtracked a lot after recalling Raijin's abilities and feats. I believe it would last a good while.

    • Okay.

    • Always bet on the Cat V.

I mean, really, what are the other two going to do? Hakuja has to come up sometime, and being able to shoot projectiles that don't even pierce a Jaeger probably doesn't mean all that much against a kaiju that can absorb impacts.

      Impressive response.

    • I would say Raijin as he was the only Cat V we got to see in the movie (don't say anything about Mega-Kaiju being a Cat V as we don't know what category it is) and Kaiju are ranked in power levels and size by category so Raijin is the most powerful, biggest and strongest of the 3 Kaiju in Pacific Rim: Uprising.

    • They say the MegaKaiju was a rank 6 or 13

My money would be on Raiju, because if you don't do anything,he'll rip you to pieces. If you attack him, you'll most likely hit his head,or he'll manuver so you hit his head, and just hit you back with your own force.

Is that an official category stated by DeKnight or is it just assumed its that size?
