Victoria Harbour (formerly the Hong Kong Harbour) is a natural landform harbour situated between Hong Kong Island and Kowloon in Hong Kong. It was also the site of the first recorded Double Event in 2025.[1]

History[]

Hong Kong Incident[]

When the Hong Kong Shatterdome's tracking system picked up two Category IV Kaiju signatures emerging from the Breach, Marshal Stacker Pentecost deployed Crimson Typhoon, Cherno Alpha and Striker Eureka into the harbour to defend the Miracle Mile and prevent the Kaiju from reaching the city.[1]

Otachi was the first Kaiju to emerge from the harbour and attacked both Cherno Alpha and Crimson Typhoon without warning. What appeared to be a controlled situation quickly fell out of the control for the Jaegers when Otachi gained the upper hand against both Jaegers. Striker Eureka attempted to aid Cherno Alpha after Crimson Typhoon was beheaded, but failed to reach the Russian Jaeger in time.[1]

While Cherno Alpha was wrestling with Otachi, Leatherback emerged from the harbour and attacked the Russian Jaeger from behind. While Striker Eureka fought Otachi, Leatherback drowned Cherno Alpha's pilots, trapped within the Jaeger itself, and then crushed its Conn-Pod. Following Cherno Alpha's destruction, Leatherback used a EMP attack and disabled both Striker Eureka and the Shatterdome. With no Jaegers left standing in their way, Otachi entered the city in search of Newton Geiszler while Leatherback stayed behind to you with Striker Eureka.[1]

After Striker Eureka's pilots, Chuck and Herc Hansen, attacked Leatherback with flare guns, Leatherback attempted to crush the Jaeger with its fists. However, before it could land a blow, Gipsy Danger arrived at the harbour, having been deployed by Pentecost as a last resort. Gipsy Danger immediately engaged Leatherback and was able to rip off its EMP organ, prompting Leatherback to tackle the Jaeger and throw it across the harbour and into the port. After a long fight that completely trashed the port, Gipsy Danger was able to kill Leatherback with its right plasma cannon.[1]
