Xichi Po[1][3] was a Ranger in the Pan Pacific Defense Corps and one of the pilots of Horizon Brave.
Biography
Pan Pacific Defense Corps
Xichi Po is assigned to the Shatterdome in Hong Kong with co-pilot Lo Hin Shen[2] The pilots of China's first Jaeger, Horizon Brave, defend the coastline of Hong Kong from oncoming Kaiju attacks.
In 2019, Xichi Po and Lo Hin Shen are sent to Manila with fellow Jaeger pilots, Yancy Becket, Raleigh Becket and Herc Hansen, when the city is attacked by a Category IV Kaiju. During the course of the battle they are overpowered by the Kaiju. Gipsy Danger and Striker Eureka come to Lo Hi Shen and Xichi Po's aid. The three Jaegers are able to kill the Kaiju in a combined effort.[4][5]
At some point during the Kaiju War, Xichi Po is sent to Bangkok to face a Kaiju and dies in combat alongside Lo Hin Shen.[6]
Trivia
- When asked, Travis Beacham confirmed that Lo Hi Shen and Xichi Po were the pilots of Horizon Brave.[3]
- The sex or gender of either Lo Hin Shen or Xichi Po is never addressed by Beacham or Man, Machines & Monsters.
